Defining Multi-Step Approvals

If your organizations requires multiple team members to sign off on subscriptions, you can set up a multi-step approval process on a per-fund basis.

Multi-step approvals break subscription approval in the following stages:

  • Initial Review

  • Detailed Review

  • Final Review

The Detailed Review includes approval steps for multiple teams, such as Legal and Tax. The teams included in the Detailed Review are customizable by fund.

Example

Fund A needs to receive approvals from the following teams:

  • KYC (Know Your Client)

  • Tax

  • Legal

  • Security

To ensure that each department completes their review before the subscription is accepted, you would add a Security team to the default workflow:

Next, you would assign the appropriate Approve permissions to the members of each team. Permissions for a member of the Tax approval team might look like this.

A user involved with both the Legal review and the Final review might have these permissions:

A finalized approval process might look like this:

Steps

This process requires the following steps:

  1. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each user to be included in the approval process.
