Overview of Network Integration

Rev. 29 Apr 2025

Establishing a connection with another organization allows for an exchange of information on the platform. The nature of the relationship between the organizations is defined by the type of Corastone node used by each organization. The funds to which an organization has access are specified per fund by portal users having Standard or Management roles.

Each firm doing business on the Corastone platform has its own organization. Use the Network Integration page to establish a working relationship with another firm on the platform. For example, to work with a transfer agent on the Corastone platform, you must establish a connection to the transfer agent organization, and the transfer agent must establish a connection to your organization.

Connecting with another firm:

  • provides that firm with secure access to offerings assigned to and accepted by that firm

  • provides your organization with secure access to the client data associated with subscriptions

To search for the organization entry you need to work with:

  1. Go to the Network Integration page.

  1. Use any of the columns to filter the list of users. (See How to Use the Filters for details.)

  2. Click the column name to sort the entries alphabetically, if needed.

  3. Click the Org ID link to display the organization profile.

How to Use the Filters

You can use any columns in the Network Integration page to filter the user entries displayed:

  • For Org ID, Other Organization IDs, and Organization Name, enter characters to match the content you are looking for. For example, enter A in the Organization Name filter to find all organization names containing the letter A. Note: Wildcards are not supported.

  • For Status Date, click the field and select the date to look for.

  • For Connection Status, click the field and select the values to include.

To prevent a connected organization from doing business with your organization:

  1. Go to the Network Integration page.

  1. Click the link for the organization of interest.

  1. Click Block Connection.

Establishing a Connection

Connecting with another firm requires:

  • existing Corastone accounts and licenses for each party

  • the org ID of the firm you are connecting to (acquired through communication outside the platform)

You can find your own org ID in your portal URL: portal.<org_ID>.<domain>.us.

Once you have agreed to do business with an organization on the Corastone platform, you can take the first steps to establish a connection:

  1. Go to the Network Integration page.

  1. Click Establish Connection.

  1. Enter the Org ID of the organization you want to connect to.

  2. Click Confirm.

The other organization must accept this connection and establish their own connection with your organization before you can do business.

Accepting a Connection

When an organization tries to establish a connection with your organization, you will see an entry in the Network Integration page with "Action Required" highlighted in the Connection Status column.

To accept the connection request:

  1. Go to the Network Integration page.

  2. Click the entry with Connection Status of Action Required.

  3. Click Accept Connection.
