Access to and distribution of data is based on the following principles:
Personal Identifiable Information (PII)
is stored on issuer nodes in a database with field-level encryption.
is transmitted from investor node to issuer node via https and, therefore, encrypted.
Transaction data:
is stored on the blockchain as hashed objects, which are published to blocks available to participants of the iownit network.
is accessed via a request from one participant node to another participant node.
is provided to the requesting participant in readable form only if that participant is entitled to the data.
Note: The node for a given organization is considered to reside on the premises of that organization because it exists on the AWS node belonging to that organization.
The following sections outline data access and distribution for different types of data.
*Each offering is launched as a separate smart-contract on the fund issuer blockchain peers. Security ID is included in the smartcontract name.
**Offerings are exclusive by default.
***Data received via API is validated against hashes on the distributed ledger.
****Once subscription received from the investor - asset is registered and the fund org becomes the source of data about the asset. *****Approved investor org is the source of investor data.
******ID is machine-generated and contains no PII
